The life of the party... always the first to be invited, lambda ignites the room with his "magnitude".  He delights in fulfilling his friends with bold notes of cherry cola, spice and smooth minerality.  As he revels in another great gathering, the liveliness of the day gives way to an evening with subtle whispers of raspberry, boysenberry and rich blueberry.  Our deep garnet hue, estate grown hero has left them longing for more once again.

He comes through my door every 3 years.  It started when he was younger - the cream of the crop - swinging with notes of dark fruits and filling the senses with his presence.  Time passed and maturity gave him a lush, inky dark perspective - one with sultry crooning notes of currants, pepper and the richness of an old french oak bar.  He is the "king of the hill," this one; a legend that lingers at his table weaving together the words of well told stories late into the night.

"Toto... we aren't in Kansas anymore," but we did find Dorothy's ruby red slippers in the cool, foggy central coast of California.  Nestled deep in the richly maturing rootstock and vines of our alban clone, this is a well traveled darling who brushes the palate with her crimson red cheeks and light floral wisps of honeysuckle and orange blossom.   With almost 3 years of adventure in her "soles," late November's baby finally makes it home.  Notes of spice, subtle black pepper and an enveloping hug of smooth tannis integrated with french oak leaves her basking in the emerald city.

The anticipation - palpable, the attraction - undeniable, the return - inevitable, our "black beauty" is back; drawing you in with her velvety deep hues, granite minerality and the perfect harmony of a lady wise beyond her years.  With a nose of cherry cola, palate pleasing hints of chocolate and cracked pepper and smoothly balanced acidity, she gallops with intensity from start ot finish.  A cool climate maven she show cases the complexity of her terrior to the envy of those who race against her.  She is a winner!
