Racing heartbeat. tingling down to your toes. A grin impossible to erase. This pinot is a great friend of ours.  It all started when he walked in wearing a suit and tie.  He was gracious in his offerings of dark cherry, rich cola and butterscotch so we invited him to dinner.   Arriving at the ranch, the suit was gone, the boots were on and the stories of well-worn leather and spice began.

Well worn jeans that whisper of planning, pruning, tasting and toiling about each detail.  Boots that tell the story of each harvest, each step walked among the vines. Cool foggy mornings and rich orange sunsets perfectly painted by mother nature’s brush. Each bottle’s story is written by hand with the first chapters belonging to us and the rich delicious ending all yours. Sharing our “home” with you is what we set out to do and lambda is the “magnitude” of that effort. It is the culmination of what we see when we look out upon our vineyard. It is our dream come true and it continues to unfold and teach us with each passing season.

You know the one.  Heads turn, gazes linger, jaws drop, shirt collars get adjusted.  Her presence can't be denied.  Full, dark cherry stained lips, tight curves of decadent chocolate, legs a mile long; perfectly perched upon the heels of garnet colored berries.  A wicked little smile and a tiny pout of minerality.   Exclusively clone 2A, she's the complete package.

Sun soaked days, standing on the edge ready to jump.  A quick inhale of white flowers and you are falling.  Ahh yea... bliss swimming in rich dark blackberry, candied plum and swirling spice, your toes skim the crushed granite bottom.  As you break the surface you throw your head back with layers of victorious satisfaction that become sweeter with air.  Our cool climate grenache - we love you so.

Tiny back alley, notes of espresso and delicate violet permeate the air. Cobble stone streets reverberate with exotic spice and juniper. The chef, who let you in the back door, carves thin slices of fat rich jamon iberico paired with crusty baguettes. Charcoal and smoke give way to layer upon layer of deep rich black fruits. Opulent, sexy and daring, our cool climate ‘black beauty’s’ sly smile is telling … she’s having more fun.!
