Full moon on a friday night.  The drive-in with your favorite date, dark chocolate covered raisinets and sticky cherry cola.  Morning's sunrise with sweet thick-sliced french toast, pepper-rubbed slab bacon and freshly ground espresso beans.   All of your favorite faces and places fill the recesses of your mind as you relax under your favorite oak tree.   You're home.  Lambda is "the magnitude" of what we do - it is our "home" at ampelos!  It is the culmination of what we see when we look out at our vineyard.   It's a dream that became reality and contiinues to unfold and teaches us with every season.

"Toto...we aren't in Kansas anymore," but we did find Dorthy's ruby red slippers in the cool, foggy central coast of Ca. This is a well traveled darling who brushes the palate with her crimson red cheeks and light floral wisps of honeysuckle and orange blossom.  With almost 3 years of adventure she finally makes it back home.  Notes of spice, subtle black pepper leaves her basking in the Emerald City.

you know the one. heads turn, gazes linger, jaws drop, shirt collars get adjusted. her presence can't be denied. full, dark cherry stained lips, tight curves of decadent chocolate, legs a mile long; perfectly perched upon the heels of garnet colored berries. a wicked little smile and a tiny pout of minerality. exclusively clone 777, she's the complete package.

Tuxedos and tattoos, surfboards and ocean swells, stolen kisses at midnight, some things just belong together.  Charred carne asada and rich spice, thick blackberry jam on crisp toast points, a fresh baked cherry cobbler and french vanilla ice cream.  This little darling is "the sum" of great grapes from our cool climate vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills.

Full moon rises, smoldering campfire smoke lingers low.  Sandy toes sink while hips sway to the steel pan drum of delicate minerality.  Nights like these beckon memories for years to come.  Morning calls with roasted colombian coffee and fresh strawberry jam drips from last night's dessert.  The road less traveled is well worth the wait.
