The click clack of rails, puffs of jasmine glinted steam, the sneaky smile of a mandarin orange sun.  Teak wood bar, juicy pineapple rings, shaved coconut flesh, the sway of palm trees passing quickly by.  A new day swaggers through the lounge car with unlimited possibilities which I ride alongside "phi" the "golden girl" of my dreams.

Racing heartbeat. tingling down to your toes. A grin impossible to erase. It’s the first time and you will never forget it. white grapefruit, keffir limes and delicate honeysuckle set sail for exotic shores. Licks of lemon, candied ginger and crushed sea shells fill well worn passport pages while swirls of delicate white flowers permeate your hopes and desires. Epsilon is “small selection”.

This pinot is a great friend of ours.  It all started when he walked in wearing a suit and tie.  He was gracious in his offerings of dark cherry, rich cola and butterscotch so we invited him to dinner.   Arriving at the ranch, the suit was gone, the boots were on and the stories of well-worn leather and spice began.

Full moon on a friday night.  The drive-in with your favorite date.  Dark chocolate covered raisinets and sticky cherry cola.  Morning's sunrise with sweet thick-sliced french toast, pepper-rubbed slab bacon and freshly ground espresso beans.  All of your favorite faces and places fill the recesses of your mind as you relax under your favorite oak tree.  You're home. Lambda is "the magnitude" of what we do - it is our 'home' at Ampelos.

He comes through my door every 3 years.  It started when he was younger - the cream of the crop - swinging with notes of dark fruits and filling the senses with his presence. Time passed and maturity gave him a lush, ink dark perspective - one with sultry crooning, notes of currants, pepper and the richness of an old french oak bar. He is the "king of the hill", this one; a legend that lingers at his table weaving together the words of well told stories late into the night.

You know the one.  Heads turn, gazes linger, jaws drop, shirt collars get adjusted.  Her presence can't be denied.  Full, dark cherry stained lips, tight curves of decadent chocolate, legs a mile long; perfectly perched upon the heels of garnet colored berries.  A wicked little smile and a tiny pout of minerality.   Exclusively clone 2A, she's the complete package.
